Scientists test if skipping days makes prenatal iron work better
NCT ID NCT07435766
Summary
This study aims to find out how well pregnant women absorb iron from different types of prenatal supplements. Researchers will test 50 pregnant women in Kenya to see if taking supplements with food or on an empty stomach makes a difference, and if taking them every other day is more effective than daily. The goal is to gather knowledge to help design better iron supplementation programs to prevent anemia.
