Scientists track Iron's journey in Children's bodies to fight malnutrition
NCT ID NCT06870201
Summary
This study aims to measure how well young children (ages 1-3) absorb iron from special nutritional supplements. Researchers in Kenya will compare iron absorption in 30 children—15 who are healthy and 15 who are undernourished. By using a safe, traceable form of iron in the supplement and checking blood samples two weeks later, they hope to learn how to design better nutrition products for children who need them most.
