First human test: new apathy drug given to elderly volunteers

NCT ID NCT06699628

Summary

This early-stage study tested how a new drug called IRL757 moves through and is processed by the body. Twelve healthy volunteers aged 65 and older received a single oral dose to measure drug levels in their blood and urine over time. The main goal was to understand the drug's safety profile and how it behaves in older adults before testing it in patients with apathy.
