New hope for tough pancreatic cancer: electric pulses plus immune-boosting drug
NCT ID NCT07306273
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new approach for people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer whose first chemotherapy (AG) has stopped working. The treatment combines a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE), which uses electric pulses to destroy cancer cells, with an investigational drug (Apalulizumab) that helps the immune system attack the tumor. The goal is to see if this combination can improve survival and offer a new second-line option. The study will enroll about 20 adults.
