Kids with IBD may get their infusion time cut in half without extra risk

NCT ID NCT06839820

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether giving infliximab over 30 minutes is as safe as the usual 60-minute infusion for children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). About 60 children aged 1 to 17 who have already had at least 5 infliximab infusions will receive 8 infusions, alternating between 30-minute and 60-minute rates. The goal is to see if the faster rate causes just as few infusion reactions and improves satisfaction for patients and nurses.
