First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a special breathing treatment called intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV) to standard care helps pneumonia patients on ventilators recover faster. About 96 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus IPV. Researchers will measure how long patients need the ventilator, how well their lungs work, and any side effects.
