Breathing treatment studied for kids on life support

NCT ID NCT06836050

First seen Jun 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether a breathing treatment called intrapulmonary percussive ventilation (IPV) can improve lung stiffness in critically ill children who are on a ventilator. Researchers measured lung function before and after the treatment in 30 children. The study did not add any extra procedures—it simply collected information from the child's medical records and ventilator to see how the lungs responded.
