Lab-Grown ovarian cells may boost egg maturation in IVF

NCT ID NCT07559357

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether special lab-grown cells (made from stem cells) can help immature eggs from IVF patients mature in a dish. About 100 women will donate eggs that are not yet ready, and each woman's eggs will be split into two groups: one grown the usual way and one grown with the helper cells. The main goal is to see if more eggs become mature with the helper cells. All resulting embryos will be used only for research, not for pregnancy.
