Lab-Grown ovarian cells may boost IVF egg maturation

NCT ID NCT07559357

First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding lab-made ovarian support cells (from stem cells) can help immature eggs mature in the lab during IVF. About 100 women will each donate some of their immature eggs, which will be split into two groups: one grown with the support cells and one without. The main goal is to see if more eggs reach the mature stage needed for fertilization. All resulting embryos are used only for research, not for pregnancy.
