First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests the safety of transplanting dopamine neurons made from a patient's own stem cells into the brain to treat Parkinson's disease. Six people with Parkinson's will receive the transplant and be monitored for side effects and motor function changes. The goal is to see if this approach is safe enough to move to larger studies.
