First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a monitor called the Integrated Pulmonary Index (IPI) can help prevent oxygen levels from dropping too low during a procedure called ERCP, which is done to examine the bile ducts. The study involved 80 adults who were having an elective ERCP under moderate sedation. The goal was to see if the IPI monitor could help doctors detect breathing problems earlier and reduce the risk of low oxygen.
