New Leg-Saving cannula tested in heart surgery

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new tube (cannula) designed to keep blood flowing to the leg during heart surgery that uses a heart-lung machine. The device aims to reduce the risk of leg complications. Fifteen adults having planned heart surgery will be enrolled to check if the device is safe and works as intended.
