First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether using an intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) device on the lower leg can improve ankle joint awareness (proprioception) and balance in people who have had a stroke. The study will involve 56 participants aged 50-65 who have had a stroke within the last 6 to 18 months and have moderate balance problems. Participants will use the IPC device, and researchers will measure changes in ankle position sense and balance control.
