New eye measurement tool tested for better cataract surgery results

NCT ID NCT05254587

Summary

This study compared how accurately four different calculation methods could predict the correct lens power for cataract surgery. It involved 155 adults who had previously undergone laser vision correction (for nearsightedness or farsightedness) and were now having cataract surgery. The goal was to see if a newer measurement tool (IOLMaster 700 with Total Keratometry) could provide more precise calculations than traditional methods.
