Summary
This study is testing whether giving breastfeeding mothers a daily vitamin containing iodine improves their babies' brain development and thyroid health. It will involve 600 mothers in Ethiopia who will either receive the special vitamin or standard care for six months. Researchers will measure iodine levels in breast milk and check the babies' development and thyroid function to see if the supplement helps.
