Summary

This study aimed to find out exactly how much iodine breastfeeding women need daily to stay healthy and support their baby's development. Researchers carefully measured iodine intake and loss in 17 healthy mother-baby pairs over several weeks. The goal was to provide clear evidence to improve global nutrition guidelines for nursing mothers.
