Summary
This study aimed to understand if eating a specific type of fiber called inulin for one week changes how many calories the body burns while at rest. It involved 61 healthy adults, some with normal weight and some with overweight or obesity. Each person tried two different 7-day diets—one with inulin and one without—to compare the effects on their metabolism.
