Three-Minute wait may improve breathing tube placement in surgery

NCT ID NCT04808440

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at 100 women having gynecological surgery to see if waiting exactly three minutes after giving a muscle relaxant called atracurium helps doctors place the breathing tube more easily. The researchers checked how good the conditions were for putting in the tube. The goal was to find a simple timing rule that could make intubation safer and smoother.
