First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a nasal spray of dexmedetomidine, a sedative, can reduce confusion and agitation in children aged 3-6 after strabismus (eye muscle) surgery. Researchers will compare two different doses (2 vs 3 mcg/kg) in 120 children to find the most effective dose. The goal is to help children wake up more calmly and comfortably after anesthesia.
