Stomach balloon study targets fatty liver and weight loss

Summary

This study follows 200 people with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) who get a temporary intragastric balloon to help with weight loss. Researchers will track changes in weight, liver enzymes, blood sugar, and liver stiffness for at least one year. The goal is to see if the balloon improves both weight and liver health in the short and long term.
