Summary

This study tests whether internet-based programs can prevent alcohol use disorders in people who are not currently seeking help. About 3,500 adults with risky drinking habits will be randomly assigned to receive online brief advice, unguided online therapy, or guided online therapy. The goal is to see which approach best reduces drinking and prevents the condition from getting worse over two years.
