Can skipping meals two days a week shrink your fatty liver?
NCT ID NCT04795973
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week intermittent fasting diet could help people with fatty liver disease. Eighty adults with excess liver fat followed a '5:2' fasting plan, eating normally for five days and restricting calories for two days each week. Researchers measured changes in liver fat, body weight, and blood markers for metabolism and thyroid function before and after the diet.
