Summary
This study looked at whether interleukin-6 (a protein involved in inflammation) affects how glucagon (a hormone) lowers amino acid levels in the blood. 26 healthy adults received either a dummy infusion or a drug that blocks interleukin-6, then had their amino acid and hormone levels measured. The goal was to understand basic body processes, not to test a treatment.
