NCT ID NCT03510078

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 600 hospitalized patients with diabetes who were not in the ICU. It compared two ways of managing blood sugar: intensive control (target below 130 mg/dL) versus conventional control (target 130-180 mg/dL). The goal was to see which approach reduces complications like death, severe low blood sugar, infections, stroke, and heart problems within 30 days.
