Can extra therapy help stroke patients regain independence?

NCT ID NCT05638607

Summary

This study tested whether providing more frequent occupational therapy sessions helps people recovering from a stroke become more independent with basic daily tasks like dressing, eating, and grooming. It involved 20 participants who had experienced their first stroke and were struggling with these activities. Researchers compared the effects of an intensified therapy schedule to see if it improved skills and possibly shortened hospital stays.
