Intensive therapy trial aims to help stroke survivors regain their voice

NCT ID NCT07386652

Summary

This study is testing whether an intensive, 4-week speech and language therapy program can meaningfully improve communication, mood, and quality of life for people with aphasia after a stroke. It will compare the program, which provides about 100 hours of therapy, to the standard care currently available. The trial will also involve caregivers and use brain scans to understand how the therapy works.
