New clinic model aims to break cycle of hospital readmissions for people with Addiction-Related infections
NCT ID NCT06513156
Summary
This study is testing if a special outpatient clinic that treats both addiction and infections together is better than usual care at keeping people out of the hospital. It will involve about 304 adults who are hospitalized with serious infections from injecting drugs. The goal is to see if this integrated approach reduces repeat hospital stays and improves overall health over 12 months.
