Scientists probe hidden causes of insulin resistance in healthy adults
NCT ID NCT07255807
Summary
This research aims to understand why some healthy people develop insulin resistance, a condition linked to diabetes, and how short-term lifestyle changes affect it. The study will enroll 80 healthy adults aged 25-55. Participants will either reduce their physical activity for two weeks or eat a high-fat diet for three days so researchers can measure changes in their body's insulin response and related biological markers.
