New injection map helps diabetics avoid painful lumps and stabilize blood sugar
NCT ID NCT07561086
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study tested a simple tool—a map showing where to inject insulin—to help people with diabetes avoid developing fatty lumps under the skin (lipohypertrophy) and improve blood sugar control. 170 adults who had been using insulin for at least six months took part. Half received the injection map and instructions, while the other half got standard verbal advice. The goal was to see if the map helped people rotate injection sites better, reduce lumps, and lower blood sugar levels.
