Twice-a-Day insulin may better control blood sugar in pregnant diabetics

NCT ID NCT07224893

First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking insulin glargine twice a day instead of once a day helps pregnant women with pre-existing diabetes manage their blood sugar better. About 200 participants will be randomly assigned to one of two dosing schedules, and their glucose levels will be tracked continuously. The goal is to see if twice-daily dosing leads to more time with blood sugar in the target range, which could reduce pregnancy complications.
