Can a headband beat talk therapy for sleep? mayo clinic tests new device

NCT ID NCT07486882

Summary

This Mayo Clinic study is testing if a wearable headband that uses gentle sound therapy (Acoustic Resonance Therapy) can help people with chronic insomnia as much as the current standard treatment, which is a type of talk therapy called CBT-I. The study will enroll 60 adults with moderate-to-severe insomnia to try one of these treatments for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in sleep quality and daytime problems to see which approach works better.
