Bug snacks for better health? study tests cricket crackers on kids
NCT ID NCT07439185
Summary
This study aims to see if eating crackers made with cricket and black soldier fly larvae can improve the health of schoolchildren in Madagascar. Researchers will give the crackers to about 650 children aged 9-13 for 14 weeks to measure changes in their gut bacteria, inflammation, and iron levels. The goal is to find a low-cost, sustainable food to help fight common problems like malnutrition and anemia.
