Summary
This study tested three emergency treatments for dangerously high potassium levels (hyperkalemia) in 419 adults at emergency departments. It compared insulin/dextrose infusion, nebulized salbutamol, and a combination of both to see which lowers potassium most effectively within 60 minutes. The goal is to provide clear evidence for doctors to choose the best first-line treatment and improve patient safety.
