First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 3,000 people with cardiogenic shock, a life-threatening condition where the heart can't pump enough blood. Researchers want to see if survival rates improved after a special heart shock team started working at Inova hospital in 2017. They will also compare different treatments like ECMO and Impella devices to understand which works best.
