Blood gel trial aims to rebuild jawbone lost to gum disease
NCT ID NCT07146776
Summary
This study is testing whether adding an injectable gel made from a patient's own blood (i-PRF) to a standard cow bone graft works better than the graft alone for treating severe gum disease. The goal is to help regrow bone lost around teeth and improve gum health. Researchers will compare the two treatments in 16 adults with advanced gum disease by measuring bone growth and gum healing over six months.
