Summary

This study tested whether inhaling tranexamic acid or terlipressin can quickly stop mild to severe coughing up blood (hemoptysis) without side effects. 315 adults with ongoing bleeding were randomly given one of the two drugs or a placebo. The goal was to see if these treatments could control bleeding within the first 3 days without needing other procedures.
