New flu pill aims to cut sick days in half – clinical trial underway

Summary
This study tests whether a higher-dose version of the antiviral drug Ingavirin can help people with flu or other viral respiratory infections feel better faster. About 300 adults aged 18 to 65 with confirmed infections will receive either the new dose, the standard dose, or a placebo. The main goal is to see how quickly symptoms like fever, cough, and sore throat go away and stay away for at least 24 hours.
