Summary

This study will test a new monitoring system designed to help nurses spot IV line complications—like phlebitis, infiltration, and extravasation—early in intensive care patients. About 102 adults who are awake and receiving medication through a peripheral IV will take part. The goal is to see if the system reduces how often these complications happen compared to standard care.
