Ear needle treatment could reveal headache secrets
NCT ID NCT05662722
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new way to measure how a needle-based ear stimulation affects facial blood flow in people with headaches. Researchers will use a special camera to track skin temperature changes, which may show how the nervous system responds. The goal is to better understand headache patterns, not to provide a treatment. About 60 adults with at least one headache per month and a 'cold nose' pattern will participate.
