Could a beam of light slow dementia?

NCT ID NCT03750409

Summary

This study is testing whether shining a special near-infrared light on the head can help improve memory, attention, and thinking in people with early to mid-stage dementia. Researchers want to see if this light can boost brain cell activity and support the brain's own repair processes. About 100 participants will use a light device at home twice a day for 8 weeks while their symptoms are tracked.
