Glowing veins: infrared tech could take the pain out of chemo IVs

NCT ID NCT07550764

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a special infrared light that makes veins easier to see can help lung cancer patients feel less pain and more comfort during IV insertion for chemotherapy. About 160 patients will take part, with half getting the infrared-assisted IV and half getting the usual method. The goal is to see if this technology also improves trust between patients and nurses.
