First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compares the immune responses of 45 ICU patients with severe pneumonia caused by influenza versus other germs. Researchers will analyze blood and lung fluid samples to see why some flu patients develop a dangerous fungal infection called aspergillosis. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
