Blood markers may predict heart rhythm issues after valve procedure

NCT ID NCT07201363

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to see if certain substances in the blood, linked to inflammation and scarring, can predict which patients will develop heart rhythm problems after a minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (TAVI). Researchers will measure these markers before the procedure in 102 patients with severe aortic stenosis. The goal is to improve prediction and potentially reduce the need for permanent pacemakers.
