Scientists probe infant nerve signals during surgery

NCT ID NCT07133412

Summary

This study aims to understand how nerve signals differ between infants (under 3 months) and older patients (12+ years) during surgery. Researchers will use a special monitoring device to measure muscle responses without using muscle-relaxing drugs. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how infants' nerves work during anesthesia, which could help improve future surgical care.
