Doctors track babies for 18 years to solve a common groin mystery

NCT ID NCT03042858

Summary

This study aims to learn how often a small, common opening near an infant's groin leads to a hernia later in childhood. Researchers will follow over 800 infants who have this opening for up to 18 years, checking in annually by phone or email. The goal is to better understand the risk and timing of hernia development to help guide future care.
