Tiny biopsy could sharpen stomach disease detection
NCT ID NCT05744596
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether taking one extra tissue sample from a specific part of the stomach (the incisura) helps doctors better identify people with high-risk chronic gastritis. About 400 adults having a routine upper endoscopy will be enrolled. The goal is to see if this simple addition improves staging and could lead to earlier detection of serious stomach conditions.
