Race to halt 'Second Skeleton' disease in children and adults

NCT ID NCT05090891

Summary

This study is testing an experimental drug called INCB000928 for people with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), a rare and devastating disease that causes muscles and soft tissues to turn into bone. About 98 participants, including children as young as 2, will receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it can reduce the formation of new bone lesions. The main goal is to see if the drug can slow or stop the progression of this currently untreatable condition.
