First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at two ways to surgically repair spina bifida in the womb. The goal is to close the opening in the baby's spine using a tiny camera and tools inserted through small cuts in the mother's belly. The two methods are one that goes through the belly skin directly and another that first opens the belly to reach the uterus. The study includes 110 pregnant women and aims to see if these procedures are safe and effective.
