First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study followed 294 people who had a stent placed to open a completely blocked heart artery. Researchers wanted to see how often the stent gets blocked again after three or more years, and what factors might increase that risk. Participants had a special CT scan to check their stent. The goal was to learn more about long-term outcomes, not to test a new treatment.
