Phone program aims to save teen transplant patients from rejection

NCT ID NCT03691220

Summary

This study tested a phone-based support program designed to help teenagers and young adults who have had a liver transplant take their anti-rejection medication more consistently. The goal was to see if better medication habits could lower the risk of the body rejecting the transplanted liver over a two-year period. Researchers compared the program's results against standard care in 148 participants across the US and Canada.
